1921 The Hotel Astoria was built. The envisioned was a modern marvel to be constructed the tallest building on the Oregon Coast - a skyscraper rising above Astoria. Over the next eight decades, hit by natural and economic disasters, the building struggled to live up to that vision. Today, the Astor Building has been re-vitalized - given a new chance to fulfill its original vision. The Astor Building is to home to many, to store fronts, as well a ballroom. The Ator Building now a reality to Astoria History.
