The house is located in a very safe neighborhood that backs up to a protected bird sanctuary. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Neighbors watch out for each other, but respect your privacy.

There are ceiling fans in the main rooms, hardwood floors, lots of windows with insulated shades, air conditioner, a large fenced-in backyard with several trees, an above-ground planting area with irrigation in case you like to grow vegetables, a gas BBQ, and off-street parking.

The rent: $750/month plus half of the utilities. Big plusses: I have a fantastic house cleaner who comes once a month to deep clean the house, and gardeners come quarterly to maintain the front and back yards.

You will be sharing the house with a University of Arizona third-year Ph.D. student in physics who is friendly, quiet, and studious. He keeps the house clean, enjoys gaming, and will respect your privacy. He has lived in the house two years.

The rental is available to a UA senior, UA grad student, or UA faculty member. House rules: No pets, no smoking, no loud parties.
