Tucked away on a hill in serene Mt. Washington and originally built as part of a MOCA exhibition, this contemporary residence- profiled in the New York Times- was designed by artist and MacArthur Genius Grant recipient Jorge Pardo. Celebrated as a work of art and a functional living space, the home's striking redwood plank ceilings and paneling are its most character-defining elements. A U-shaped courtyard is encircled by linked redwood pavilions with floor-to-ceiling windows and steel roofs, a true sight to behold amongst the towering trees and surrounding woody area. Additional features of the artist-designed residence include a sunken living room, walls of glass, skylights, a broad stairway, striking concrete floors, terraces, and a private yard. Sea View Lane is possibly the most desired street on the hill and features several significant architectural homes. The highly-rated Mt. Washington School is just a few blocks away and hiking trails are just outside your front door.
