Originally built in 1923 as The Fensgate Hotel, the Charlesview Condominiums were completely renovated as apartments in 1996, and then converted into condominium residences in 2001. The 10 story Charlesview Condominium building boasts 67 luxury condominium residences in Boston’s iconic Back Bay neighborhood. These units feature an ambiance of classic hardwood floors, chef-inspired modern kitchens, open floor plans and panoramic views. Most units provide either spectacular river views or breathtaking City views. This is a professionally managed doorman building with two elevators and a common laundry. The Charlesview Condominiums is a pet friendly building.
Beginning in 1857 and continuing until 1880, the Back Bay, the body of water separating Boston from Brookline, was filled, adding 450 acres of land to the city of Boston. Today it stands as one of the City’s premiere neighborhoods. Marked by historic and exclusive boulevards, such as Newbury Street and Commonwealth Avenue, the Back Bay is home to the northern portion of the City’s Emerald Necklace, the green space that threads its way through the inner core of the city. The neighborhood is also one of the busiest retail sections of Boston, with a thriving commercial center along Boylston and Newbury Streets, and including the nearby Prudential Center and Copley Place.
Strategically located at the corner of Beacon Street and Charlesgate East, The Charlesview Condominiums is easily accessible to public transportation, Storrow Drive, Newbury Street shopping, and Kenmore Square. A few blocks from this building is The Charles River Esplanade. The Esplanada is located on the banks of the Charles River. In this park are walkways, statuary, the Hatch Memorial Shell performance stage, playgrounds, ball fields, and Community Boating. The Charlesview Condominiums are also close to Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox. Fenway is one of the most historic baseball parks in the country. From dining, shopping, relaxing and entertaining – the Charlesview Condominiums has the appeal of Boston’s excitement and all that it offers while maintaining the charm of home.
