Austin, Texas—ACC Earns Two Awards from National Association of Home Builders
American Campus Communities brought home two awards at this year’s annual National Association of Home Builders ceremony: Best Student Housing Apartment Community and Best Mixed-use Community. The two awards were conferred upon ACC’s Chestnut Hill.
Nashville, Tenn.—UTC Breaks Ground on West Campus Facility
University of Tennessee, Chattanooga officially broke ground on their new West Campus Student Housing complex this week. The new facility, located at the corner of Vine and Houston Streets, will welcome 600 students in the fall of 2018.
Columbus, Ga.—CSU’s New Residence Hall Reaches New Milestone
Clearview Hall, CSU’s newest residence Hall, officially “topped out” this week, adding the last beam to the 540-bed structure designated for freshmen students. The building was completed by Columbus State University, Corvias Campus Living, and Winter Construction. Corvias has been awarded management over Clearview Hall, as well as nearby Courtyard I.
Deland, Fla.—Deland Sees Substantial Growth in Student Housing Needs
An article published this week revealed that student housing needs in Deland, Fla. are significantly growing year after year. Stetson University has nearly 25 percent more students living off campus this year than it did just four years ago. City Officials are currently considering new ordinances to establish rules for off campus housing, as several private developers are already inquiring about the space.
