Finals week is always one of the most stressful times of the year for college students. Thankfully, all that stress leads to a nice long break! Studying for your final exams is different than studying for a normal test. You have multiple tests in a week and most if not all are cumulative tests.
Since studying for final exams is quite different than those high school finals, we decided to share this helpful video with you. These tips will definitely come in handy when are clueless on where to begin.
Since there are basics some students forget to follow, we also decided to share basic tips on studying for finals.
Here are some helpful ways to study for your finals in your college apartment:
- Keep distractions to a minimum. Lock yourself in your room with your notebooks and study guides. Turn your phone to airplane mode if you think text messages are going to distract you.
- Remember to take breaks! Taking a short 10-15 minute break will help you relax for a little bit. Take a walk, grab a snack, or finish packing for winter break.
- Drink water. You might not feel dehydrated now, but after a few hours you will. Keeping a few snacks nearby is also helpful for those who study better when they have a full belly.
- Get plenty of sleep. Cramming all night might lead to you sleeping through your exam. All that studying for nothing! Getting plenty of sleep will also prevent you from falling asleep during your exam.
Following these tips can help lead you to a more successful finals week, especially if you have struggled with exams in the past.
