No matter how big your apartment is, there never seems to be enough room.
Before you start researching “what to do when you’re a hoarder,” relax. You probably don’t have too many belongings, you probably just need to learn better ways to store everything.
Great storage will not only make your apartment feel bigger but, it will also add to space.
- Swap your T.V stand for a Cube Organizer. You can get different colored cubes to fit your color scheme or even match the colors to your school’s football team. Plus, the cubes are a great way for covering a mess or hiding all of those old DVD’s you can’t decide what to do with. There’s no limit to what you can store and the best part is that it’s easy to set up and relatively low cost.
- Swap your closet with every season. Invest in a few clear plastic storage bins that fit under your bed and use them to house the clothes you currently aren’t wearing. If it’s winter and under 50 degrees, you can store your shorts and bathing suits under the bed and save closet space. The lock on the bin will keep bugs out and your clothes clean.
- Use a towel tower or small shelving unit to upgrade your bathroom. Towels, lotions, blowdryers and extra shampoo bottles all take up space. Reduce the clutter and utilize a small shelving unit. They come in a variety of finishes to match the bathroom you have and add a little more to space. For an added bonus you can use cube storage bins and keep your mess a secret from visitors.
- Hang your hats. Combine wall art with storage space with this helpful trick. Don’t nail your hats rather, hammer nails into the wall with enough room left the safely hold your hat. One of the best things about having a hat is letting people see how cool they are. So why not hang them up?
Good storage can turn a great place into an amazing place. No apartment is too small if you know how to utilize the square footage.
