Do you find yourself all of a sudden hosting Thanksgiving for you and some of your fellow friends? Somehow that always tends to happen in college. Some of your friends are snowed in, had their flights cancelled, or simply just couldn’t afford to make it home. Whatever the issue is though, you find yourself with a few friends still wanting to celebrate the holidays and you have no clue where to begin!
Celebrating Thanksgiving in a college apartment doesn’t have to be boring! We found this video that includes so quick decorations and treats for your thanksgiving meal. These decorations are inexpensive and quick to make. Perfect for this “all of a sudden” situation.
Most everything in the video can be bought at your local craft store, dollar store, or even the closest big box store. If you are looking for even more crafts, check out our video posted from last week. Those decorations might take a bit longer, but they are definitely worth it, if you want a Thanksgiving/Fall themed apartment.
Besides the decorations, don’t forget the turkey (buy it at least a day before), stuffing (boxed is inexpensive and easy, it just might not taste as good as your mom’s stuffing), mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and whatever else reminds you of Thanksgiving.
A good way to keep the costs down for your Thanksgiving feast, is to hold a potluck dinner with your friends. This also clears up a lot of space in your fridge and oven!
