Graduate students have a lot on their plate during the term, during finals, and sometimes during holiday time as well. Even more reason for there you to give extra thought and consideration to what you’ll buy your grad school student for Christmas this year.
Here are three presents that can’t miss:
Noise Reduction Headphones. Graduate students must study. A lot. Otherwise, the considerable investment of their time and money is useless. Most students likely have earphones to listen to MP3 players. What can really come in useful, though, is a pair of noise-cancelling or noise-isolating headphones. No more cursing the partying people down the hall (or worse, in the hallway) or a roommate who is talking incessantly on the phone.
Maid Service. If undergrads are less than neat and tidy, graduate students raise that to an exponential power. Again, it’s a time thing. Some grad students have been known to eat off paper plates so they don’t have to scrape dishes to put them in a dishwasher. Think: time is of the essence. One thorough cleaning might serve them for the rest of the year. Trust us: your fave grad student will be grateful.
Cupcake Delivery. All students like goodies delivered during finals. Grad students will be writing long research papers and putting in a lot of time at the library, very late at night. There is nothing like a cupcake that somebody has cared enough to send you. Cupcakes have undergone a resurgence in popularity over the last five years, so many college towns have cupcake places that will deliver. Also, the company Cookies by Design has recently opened Cupcake by Design, with franchises in a number of states.
