If this is your first time in your own apartment you may be wondering if you should give your property manager a Christmas gift.
You may feel like you have to give your property manager something to stay in their good graces, or you might just want to be friendly. While it might be a nice gesture to give your property manager something for the holidays, it isn’t required.
If you do want to give your property manager a gift you should probably get them something that’s small and would help them with their job. You might want to get them a gift card from a home improvement store, or a ‘best property manager ever/ mug. Even a simple tip or good review would be enough to show your appreciation.
A more personal gift may be better if you have a stronger relationship with your property manager. If you know your property manager well they might appreciate something a little more than just a mug or a generic card. They may even appreciate a more personal letter that you write yourself.
If your goal is to raise your property manager’s opinion of you, you might want to deliver your gift along with your rent check if you haven’t paid it already. This should show them that you’re responsible and that you’re thinking of them. Of course, this wouldn’t necessarily be a
good way to try to make your property manager forget if you paid your rent late.
Even a simple gift can be enough to show your appreciation for all of the work your property manager does. This can be a thankless job, so showing that you appreciate what they do is something that would be nice to consider over the holiday season.
