Decorate with Meaning
Decorating your apartment can be a fun experience, but there is more to decorating than curtains and tables. Put your creativity to the test. Have you taken up photography? Why not get some pictures you took of a scenery printed out and hang them on your wall in a nice frame? How about a canvas painting of your own artwork? Are you in culinary? How about taking some pictures with a close zoom of your most beautiful recipes and hanging them in the kitchen? Have your talents surround you.
For a Girly or Manly Feel
Some women like a girly feel like floral designs, animal prints, vibrant colors, or maybe rhinestones and feathers. For the men who want more of a masculine feel, how about colors from your favorite sports team? You could add a tablecloth and curtains in the team colors and top it off with a football or basketball-shaped bowl as the centerpiece. If you’re the more adventurous outdoorsy type, you might lean more towards a cabin feel with tree bark seats, wooden signs, a vase with twig branches, mini tree plants, or taxidermy.
How to Find Your Color
You could decorate your apartment according to your personality color. You could really get into character with the colors you choose to decorate with. People who like purple are creative, knowledgeable and mysterious. Pink is a color choice for the thoughtful soul their romantic and sensitive. Red is for the confident and determined and are expressive. Blue is for the intelligent and their charming nature makes people want to be around them. If you like yellow, chances are you’re idealistic, attentive and fun, and you have a logical systematic approach to things. A preference for green usually means you’re balanced and affectionate and you have a sense of adventure. Orange symbolizes one who is good-natured, social, ambitious and positive.

Another fun way to decorate is by using motivational wall stickers. Inspire yourself and your guests daily with quotes like “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
