10 Easy Halloween Decorations for Your College Apartment

1. Fake Spider Web. They sell this stuff by the bags almost everywhere. It’s easy to hang up and doesn’t require any real time. The Dollar Store sells giant bags. Just remember to take this down or else your apartment will start to look like a forgotten attic.
2. Milk Carton Lanterns. Take an empty and CLEAN milk carton and use a marker to draw a silly or scary face. Then fill the carton with some small string lights and watch as that plastic contains morphs into an easy decoration.
3. Lace Pumpkin. Can’t carve a pumpkin? Don’t worry. Avoid a mess and go buy some lace. Wrap it around the pumpkin to make a chic piece of Halloween decor that’s easy to clean up and won’t require a knife to assemble.
4. Haunted Wine Vase. Grab that empty wine bottle sitting on your counter and clean it out. Then head to any craft store and buy some of their Halloween themed flowers. Throw them in the vase. Then add a bit of black ribbon around the head of the bottle to complete the look.

8. Fake Mad Scientist Lab. Buy the cheapest glass containers, some green food coloring and any plastic creatures you can find. Fill the container with water and green food coloring to give the impression that it’s formaldehyde. Then place the plastic creature inside and freak out your friends.
9. Make a Halloween Wreath. You can have a lot of fun making this as fall or Halloween themed as you’d like. Grab a basic do-it-yourself wreath and head to the craft store. Feel like making it really scary? Go for it.
10. Coffee Filter Banner. Having a Halloween party on a budget? Don’t overspend on a banner, take a handful of coffee filters and write one letter on each. The string them together for an easy to hang up and lightweight piece of decor.
