With millions of different floorplans, college apartments are the perfect canvas for Halloween decorations.

- Fake Spider Web. They sell this stuff by the bags almost everywhere. It’s easy to hang up and doesn’t require any real time. The Dollar Store sells giant bags. Just remember to take this down or else your apartment will start to look like a forgotten attic.
- Milk Carton Lanterns. Take an empty and CLEAN milk carton and use a marker to draw a silly or scary face. Then fill the carton with some small string lights and watch as that plastic contains morphs into an easy decoration.
- Lace Pumpkin. Can’t carve a pumpkin? Don’t worry. Avoid a mess and go buy some lace. Wrap it around the pumpkin to make a chic piece of Halloween decor that’s easy to clean up and won’t require a knife to assemble.
- Haunted Wine Vase. Grab that empty wine bottle sitting on your counter and clean it out. Then head to any craft store and buy some of their Halloween themed flowers. Throw them in the vase. Then add a bit of black ribbon around the head of the bottle to complete the look.
- Spell Books. Head to your local thrift store and pick up the oldest books you can find. Then head home and replace your table centerpieces or accent decor with a stack of these old books. To really set the scene you can combine these with the Haunted Wine Vase or Lace Pumpkin.
- Haunted Cookie Jar. This one is great because you can save it and reuse it every year. Grab a glass cookie jar and think of it like a diorama. You can use fake spider webs and small toy houses or graveyard pieces to build a spooky scene.
- Balloon Ghosts. For this, you need a white sheet, balloon, markers, and string. Blow up the balloon as big as it can go and then drape the sheet over it. Draw a ghost face on the sheet first. Then secure the sheet on the balloon with a piece of tape and let the sheet fall. Tie your masterpiece up in a hallway and scare your guests with this easy craft.
- Fake Mad Scientist Lab. Buy the cheapest glass containers, some green food coloring and any plastic creatures you can find. Fill the container with water and green food coloring to give the impression that it’s formaldehyde. Then place the plastic creature inside and freak out your friends.
- Make a Halloween Wreath. You can have a lot of fun making this as fall or Halloween themed as you’d like. Grab a basic do-it-yourself wreath and head to the craft store. Feel like making it really scary? Go for it.
- Coffee Filter Banner. Having a Halloween party on a budget? Don’t overspend on a banner, take a handful of coffee filters and write one letter on each. The string them together for an easy to hang up and lightweight piece of decor.
